Read moreThere’s a joke I’ve seen countless times floating around social media. It says something about how if a homeschooling mom is talking to herself, she is not crazy, but rather, having a parent-teacher conference.
I never really understood why talking to oneself was considered “crazy.” Maybe because I do it all the time and I am biased — or in denial. Whatever the case, we all need a way to air out our thoughts, and sometimes those thoughts aren’t really meant for sharing with someone else over a cup of coffee. Sometimes, they are the things you need to work out in your head, but they escape from your head through your mouth. (Or, in my case, via the keyboard.)
And so I share some of these conversations with myself in the hopes that another “crazy” homeschooling might one day come across it, read and know she is not actually crazy, and she is absolutely not alone.
